Update 2.2: Play in Your Language

Play in your language

RuneClick is now fully translated into eight languages: Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Pick yours in Settings and the whole game switches over live, no restart needed. Every skill, item, enemy, menu, and tooltip is covered.

New pets and rare drops

Three mega-rare skilling pets to chase now: the Beaver from Woodcutting, the Rock Golem from Mining, and the Baby Kraken from Fishing. Any pet you find auto-equips and follows you around. On top of those there is the Bird’s Nest, a new Woodcutting drop you open from the bank. Each one leaves you an empty nest and gives either seeds or a piece of jewelry, with a one-in-a-million shot at an onyx bracelet. And for the fishers, Old Mossback is a once-in-a-lifetime trophy worth a small fortune.

Runecraft goes deeper

Three new runes, Death, Blood, and Soul, push Runecraft well into the late game. They come with new high-level spells and a new passive that rewards heavy casting, plus new altars and rune art to match. The grind no longer tops out at nature runes.

Combat overhaul

The combat triangle now keys off the armor your enemy wears. Metal-plated foes fold to magic, robed casters are soft to melee and ranged, and hide-clad enemies shrug off magic, and every monster’s guide page now spells out its weakness. Monster drop tables got a heavy pass too, so fighting is a real way to earn resources and mid-tier gear without grinding the matching skill. If you have been fighting since launch, the first time you log in you get a one-time grant of the drops you would have earned across all your past kills.

A few smaller changes round it out. Ranged now returns most of the arrows you fired when you land the kill, magic has a chance to save runes on every cast, and the Abyssal Rod now drops from the Abyssal Demon.

The rest

There is a pile of cosmetic and quality-of-life work in here too. Gilded and Void finishes let you dress up your axe, pickaxe, and fishing rod, pure prestige and no stats. If your leaderboard standing got locked because you edited your save or ran a progression-changing mod, you can now wipe your account back to a clean slate and do an honest run. On top of that: ten new achievements, higher sell values on rare items, an early-level XP buff for Fletching’s bow path, equal XP whether you play with keyboard or mouse, and an expanded in-game guide alongside the usual balance and bug fixes.

The full notes are on Steam.
